We are occasionally asked for more detail about our Job Turnaround options: Priority scheduling within 2 working days Standard job scheduling within 5 working days Start Dates If you select ‘Standard job scheduling within 5 working days’ – a start date is given to the job during our weekly scheduling meeting (usually on a Monday). When your job has a start date it’s added to our Job Queue, and our developers then work through that list. . Depending on the size of the job, and our workload, the start date could be up 10 working days after the order was placed. . We offer ‘Priority scheduling within 2 working days’ for more urgent work – within 2 working days of an order being placed the job is given a start date, and we endeavour to complete the work as soon as possible. . . It is measured as the percentage of total visitors that end up buying from you.” Different Payment Gateways The definition […]

Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States (the fourth Thursday of November). This year it falls on 25th November 2016. “Black Friday” as a shopping term is a fairly new concept in the UK, only really starting to be generally adopted in the last 3 years or so. In the USA the term goes back to 1961, but it’s in the 21st century and particularly in the last 10 years that it has been one of the busiest shopping days of the year, and along with “Cyber Monday” and “Cyber Week” is a time period when retailers particularly can expect to be really busy as these stats show: In the USA in 2015: An estimated $905 million in purchases were made via mobile devices on Black Friday. About 75% of mobile purchases were made on iOS using iPhones and iPads. In the UK in 2015: Black […]
The year 2016 marked 7 years since we as a company were born and here at Flair we felt it was time for us to get ‘a new look’ and update our brand. So we got to work and took on the challenge to put some ‘Flair’ back into the company. What Is A Brand And Why Is It Important? The word ‘brand’ is used in business all the time and yet there are many people that are still unaware of the importance of having a brand. For some it is the core of the business that can play a huge part in its overall success. With markets growing all the time, people begin to look more to brands to help them confidently choose the best solution between competitors. You only have to look at the likes of Apple and Starbucks who are well established brands and the impact they have on […]

We are happy to announce our first in a new line of premium themes for BigCommerce, Savile Row, has been released on their new theme store. Savile Row is aimed particularly at fashion, jewellery and accessory marketplaces as it concentrates purely on showing products off, without heavy text around their images. Product details appear once a visitor hovers over an image. Clean, uniform product photography shot on white backgrounds will naturally increase the sales potential of this theme. The product pages in this theme again have been set up with product imagery in mind, using two thirds of the page for displaying product photos. In addition, to help with conversion rates, we have included our AJAX Minicart module with this theme. It is fully functional out of the box without any further setup needed. The theme is available to purchase within your BigCommerce control panel. Head over to Design, click […]
