The year 2016 marked 7 years since we as a company were born and here at Flair we felt it was time for us to get ‘a new look’ and update our brand. So we got to work and took on the challenge to put some ‘Flair’ back into the company.
What Is A Brand And Why Is It Important?
The word ‘brand’ is used in business all the time and yet there are many people that are still unaware of the importance of having a brand. For some it is the core of the business that can play a huge part in its overall success. With markets growing all the time, people begin to look more to brands to help them confidently choose the best solution between competitors. You only have to look at the likes of Apple and Starbucks who are well established brands and the impact they have on their markets. A brand is all about enticing customers in and providing excellent service to encourage them to stay loyal to you.
With this in mind, we wanted to move Flair away from symbolising just a company and more towards it becoming a brand.
Flair’s New Logo
With branding in the forefront of our minds, we discussed how our logo is the central point of the company, and therefore considered carefully how much we should change it as we didn’t want to lose the recognition the current logo had achieved.
After many meetings (including several cups of tea and coffee), finally we decided on a logo, and a very colourful one at that! We were all in agreement not to alter it too much so kept the same shape and feel, but adjusted the font and asterisk. The logic in our thinking? Well as Flair now offers more services, we felt having vibrate coloured asterisks reflected who we are as a company. It also symbolises the different services provided that combine to form ‘Flair’. Our final colours and services are now known as:
- Design – Orange
- Development – Pink
- Support – Blue
- Optimisation – Green
- Marketing – Yellow
As Flair has always been associated with ‘Orange’, it has been kept as the dominant colour and highlights our main service. Our new logo certainly appears eye-catching and hope it continues to catch people’s attentions. What are your thoughts on our new logo? We would love to hear what you think!
